Cheyenne Man Wanted for Strangulation Found Hiding Under Stairs

A 22-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a handful of charges, including a felony charge, after allegedly strangling a female.

According to a booking sheet, Domonique Anthony Hernandez-Walker was taken into custody on a Laramie County warrant at 11:40 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21 after police conducted a field interview with his previous victim and she confirmed that he was in a nearby house and that she was on the phone with him.

Police say they called Hernandez-Walker's mother, who arrived with relatives to unlock the door and gave them consent to search the house, and they found Hernandez-Walker hiding under the stairs.

1 Felony, 4 Misdemeanors

Police say Hernandez-Walker had a warrant for strangulation of a household member, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and four misdemeanors, including two counts of domestic battery, false imprisonment, and interference with an emergency call.

Hernandez-Walker was taken to the Laramie County Detention Center, where he was booked without incident.

Bond Set at $3K Cash

Hernandez-Walker was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court on Monday, Sept. 23, during which his bond was set at $3,000 cash and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 2 at 2:30 p.m.
