Cheyenne Trio Arrested for Drug Possession
Three Cheyenne residents are behind bars following a warrant service in northeast Cheyenne.
According to police spokeswoman Alex Farkas, 23-year-old Camden Girone, 43-year-old Dena Hampton, and 45-year-old Ricky Joe Perry were arrested at a home in the 4200 block of Hope Court around 8:45 a.m. on Wednesday.
"Due to the nature of the call, there was a heavy law enforcement presence in the area," Farkas said in a news release Wednesday afternoon.
"This operation was pre-planned and extra precautions were taken to ensure the safety of everyone in the area," she added.
Farkas says Girone and Hampton were booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for possession of a powdery substance and Perry was booked for possession of methamphetamine and an active warrant.
As of 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, the trio had yet to be formally charged.
"The area has been cleared and officers do not believe there is any threat to public safety," said Farkas.
