Cheyenne Teen Accused of Robbing Tobacco Shop at Knifepoint
A 16-year-old Cheyenne teen is behind bars after allegedly robbing a tobacco shop at knifepoint.
It happened around 12:12 p.m. Sunday, March 3, at the C-Mart & Smoke Shop at 314 Dell Range Blvd.
Police spokeswoman Alex Farkas says the teen reportedly entered the store wearing a ski mask and backpack, walked behind the counter, and displayed a knife.
The Teen Demanded Cash, Cigarettes, and Vape Devices
"(He) began shouting at an employee to place cash, cigarettes, and vape devices in his backpack," Farkas said in a news release. "He pointed to the items he demanded with his knife, then left the location."

Farkas says several residents in the area captured security camera footage and helped responding officers gather information about the teen’s description and direction of travel, and he was located a short time later by a community member.
The teen was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Juvenile Services Center for robbery with threat of injury and conspiracy.

Co-Conspirator Arrested in Connection With Armed Robbery
Police say another Cheyenne teen, a 15-year-old boy, has been arrested for conspiracy in connection with the armed robbery.
"Through the investigation, detectives learned that the two boys planned the robbery together," said Public Information Officer Alex Farkas.
