CPD Pig Wrestling Team Brings Home the Bacon for Hungry Kids

Fewer Laramie County students will go hungry this school year thanks to the generosity of four Cheyenne cops.

The "Pig Posse" -- made up of Det. Willmarth, Det. Rippy, Sgt. Gay and Officer Good -- won their division at the Laramie County Fair pig wrestling competition and decided to donate their $250 prize to the Friday Food Bag Foundation.

Gay handed the cash over to the foundation's Judy Weikum on Monday.

Started in 2007, the Friday Food Bag Foundation delivers bags of nutritious, non-perishable food each Friday while school is in session to kids who otherwise might not eat well, or at all, during the weekends.
