Guajardo has been charged with First-Degree Murder, as well as attempted murder for shooting Cook and burglary for breaking into the home. At last report Guajardo was still in custody in Colorado, awaiting extradition proceedings that could bring him back to Wyoming to face the charges.
Cook, meanwhile, was arrested Monday at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for allegedly selling meth to a police informant on April 6th. Police say he and a woman named Shania Hansen sold meth to the informant in a Cheyenne motel room.
The informant was wearing a wireless recorder during the controlled buy conducted by police. They say Cook was the person who physically sold a gram of meth to the informant for $100.
