Domestic Argument Turns Serious for Cheyenne Man
A 39-year-old Cheyenne man is facing a felony charge after reportedly, once again, being caught with drugs.
Domestic Incident Leads to Felony Drug Charge
According to a booking sheet, Dominic Fredrick Stalkup was arrested for domestic assault at 7:25 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 26, after he allegedly threw shoes at another household member during an argument.

The arresting Laramie County Sheriff's deputy says Stalkup "exhibited indicators of impairment by methamphetamine" and had a small bag of suspected methamphetamine on him and has more than three prior misdemeanor convictions for possession of a controlled substance.
Stalkup was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance - third or subsequent offense, a felony punishable by up to five years in prison, up to a $5,000 fine, or both; and domestic battery, a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail, up to a $750 fine, or both.
Initial Court Appearance
On Wednesday, Jan. 28, Stalkup was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on the charges.
Williams appointed Stalkup a public defender and set his preliminary hearing for Wednesday, Feb. 4, at 1:30 p.m.
She then asked for the state's position regarding bond.
The state referenced Stalkup's extensive criminal history, going all the way back to 2007.
"You take the history in conjunction with the allegations before the court today, the state would recommend $5,000 cash," it said.
Bond Set at $5K Cash
"Your bond is $5,000 cash," Williams told Stalkup. "If you post that, I'll set your bond conditions."
Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
