Brandt Tobler wants to be the next Mayor of Cheyenne. The stand-up comedian recently announced his plan to challenge incumbent Marian Orr next year on Facebook.

"I will be the coolest, funniest, most amazing mayor in the country," Tobler promised. "After I am elected, I promise to give the people a brand new, original joke at every press conference and charity event."

Tobler also pledged to make the City Council more exciting.

"I'm going to wear a funny costume at every meeting," he said. "I will dress up like Elvis and make Dickie Shanor call me 'The King'. I will wear a monkey suit and hand out bananas if the council members get tired, that's the kind of mayor I will be."

The former Frontier Mall employee turned comedian and author thinks our current mayor is doing a good job but insists he will be even better.

"If you think Marion Orr's twitter page is awesome, just wait until you see mine."

Tobler will be performing Friday and Saturday night at the Cheyenne Depot Museum. Tickets are $20 and are available online via Brown Paper Tickets.
