Christian Martinez Named LCSD#1 Student of the Week

Cheyenne Central Junior Christian Martinez has been named the Laramie County School District#1 Student of the Week for the week of May 27.

In announcing the recognition, LCSD#1 included these comments:

''Christian Martinez, who is a junior at Central High School, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of May 27.

Martinez is taking three AP classes this year and is a part of the AP Capstone program while maintaining a 4.2 weighted GPA.

Martinez is involved with FBLA, student senate and is a member of the Interact Executive Board at Central. He is the S2S President, which is a program designed to support military dependents.

According to the selection committee: “Once a military dependent himself, Christian capably leads this group (S2S).”

During his free time, Martinez enjoys playing basketball with his friends.

The selection committee complimented his work ethic, humility and commitment to the community."
