LCSD#1 To Interview Trio of Superintendent Candidates This Month
Laramie County School District #1 officials will be interviewing a trio of candidates to be the district's next Superintendent.
Former Superintendent Margaret Crespo resigned from her position on August 4.
Since then, Dr. Stephen Newton has been serving as interim super, and he is one of the three candidates to permanently assume leadership of the district. The other two candidates are Dr. Thomas Meyer. who is currently superintendent of a school district in Iowa, and Michael Hamel, who is Superintendent of Schools at Carbon County School District in Rawlins, Wyoming. The release goes on to say ''Stakeholders are invited to attend community forums, which will be held from 6-7 p.m. in the LCSD1 Board Room, 2811 House Ave., for candidates on their respective interview day. Community members have an opportunity to submit questions for the candidate forums. To do so, please go to bit.ly/LCSD-1. More details, including a Zoom link for those who wish view a livestream of the forums, will be released prior to the interviews.''\
