Student of the week

Yuan attended Goins and Bain elementary schools, followed by Johnson Junior High, before enrolling in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Program at East High School.

Jenna Beckley, a senior at South High School in Cheyenne, has been selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of March 2.

Kyla Bush, who is a senior at Central High, was selected as Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of Feb. 24.

After high school graduation, Brown plans to attend the University of Wyoming to become a mental health therapist.

Melvin (Trey) D. Turner III, is a senior at East High who is described as a student leader, advocates for himself and others, and a well-rounded student.

Upton is an eighth-grader at McCormick Junior High in Cheyenne. She is a straight-A student who enjoys painting and art class.

Sexton is clever and motivated to succeed in class. When finishing homework, he often develops interesting ways to extend the assignment.

Carey Junior High 8th-grader Gerardo Mendez goes out of his way to serve as a mentor by helping his fellow students.

Alexandra Robért has been named Laramie County School District 1’s Student of the Week for the week of January 13.
