Cheyenne Woman Charged with Stabbing Boyfriend
A 36-year-old Cheyenne woman could face up to 10 years in prison after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend multiple times.
Court records say police were called to Pernisha Shacole Hayes' home shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday after she reportedly stabbed Jason Larry, her boyfriend of eight years.
According to an affidavit, the two had gotten into an argument over Hayes cheating on Larry.
Police say Larry had cuts on the left corner of his mouth and right side of his neck and a puncture on his right shoulder, all of which required stitches.
Hayes, who fled the residence before police arrived, was later arrested and charged with aggravated assault and battery-bodily injury with weapon.
Hayes' bond was set at $3,000 at 10 percent and her preliminary hearing scheduled for Aug. 8 at 1:30 p.m.
