Failure to use a turn signal before pulling over to stop has landed a Cheyenne man behind bars on several different charges, including burglary

That's according to a release from the Cheyenne Police Department. CPD spokeswoman Alex Farkas says a Cheyenne Police Officer was patrolling the area around East 10th Street and Converse Avenue a little before 2 a.m. today [April 10] when he saw a U-Haul truck pull over to stop without using a turn signal.

The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke to the driver, later identified as 25-year-old Camden Girone of Cheyenne. The officer saw signs that Girone had been using illegal drugs, so a Police K9 was brought to the scene. The police dog alerted to the odor of illegal drugs.

Police Say Girone Admitted To Stealing Guns From Storage Units

According to the post "Officers searched the U-Haul and located two firearms, electronic devices, tools, bolt cutters, a grinder, and containers holding a substance believed to be methamphetamine. During the search, officers also found broken locks in Girone’s back pocket. He later told officers that he had broken into two storage units and took several items, including the firearms."

Girone was out on bind for a prior drug charge at the time of his arrest.

Girone was arrested for aggravated burglary, felony theft, and possession of a controlled substance. Detectives are also looking into the possibility that Girone may have been involved in other crimes.
