Severe Storms with Strong Winds, Hail Possible In SE Wyoming Friday
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says strong to severe storms are possible in southeast Wyoming Friday afternoon.
The most likely hazards are strong winds, heavy rain and possibly some hail.
The agency posted the following on its website:
Chances for PM showers and thunderstorms will tick up a notch on Friday to between 30 and 70%. In addition, a few isolated storms will have the potential to become strong to severe. The primary hazards are lightning, gusty winds, isolated hail, and locally heavy rainfall.

Here’s a look at the upcoming forecast for the weekend through the start of the week! We have daily chances for isolated to scattered showers and storms across the area through at least Wednesday of next week. Currently, we have a Marginal Risk (Level 1 of 5) for severe weather on Friday, with the primary concerns being strong winds from wet microbursts and the possibility of accumulating small hail. We will continue to monitor this threat over the next few days. Comfortable and warm weather is anticipated daily, with highs largely remaining in the 70s and low-80s everywhere.
