Cheyenne Spring Cleanup Announced For June 10
The City of Cheyenne has announced a spring cleanup day for Saturday, June 10, according to city spokesman Scott Smith.
On that day Cheyenne residents will be allowed to take unwanted items to the city's Transfer Station free of charge. Smith says the transfer station, which is located at 220 North College Drive, will be open from 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.
He also says there could be long lines at the state from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. because city trucks will be dumping during that time.
The free cleanup day is only for Cheyenne residents, and anyone wanting to take advantage of the free dumping will need to bring a Cheyenne BOPU water bill or other utility bill with their address on it.
The bill can't be older than 90 days. People will be allowed to drop off up to four tires from a car or pickup, small appliances, refrigerators/freezers (must be certified to show they don;t contain freon), household hazardous waste and other household trash.
