Cheyenne Police Urge Drivers to Stay Off Roads Due to Blizzard

Cheyenne police are asking drivers to stay off the roads until weather and travel conditions improve.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says blizzard conditions have made most city streets impassible, but people are still trying to drive on them.

"These actions are resulting in crashes and stranded motorists," he said.

Malatesta says people may be issued careless driving citations if they choose to drive and end up needing police assistance.
