A spokesman for the Cheyenne Police Department says that while that agency will be going all-out to catch underage drinkers at Cheyenne Frontier Days 2015, the police won't cite underage drinkers who ask for medical help.

Officer Dan Long says this year the department will make it's strongest effort yet to catch underage drinkers at Cheyenne Frontier Days. He says that will include the detective division as well as additional officers, who will be deployed to catch illegal drinkers at CFD events. Undercover officers in street clothes will be part of that effort.

Long says that while Cheyenne Police have targeted underage drinkers at Frontier Days in recent years, that effort will be increased this year.

He says cops will also be keeping on eye out for servers who "over-serve" drinkers.

But he says underage drinkers who over-indulge and become ill shouldn't be afraid to seek medical help. He says police won't cite those drinkers, regardless of whether they are under 21.

Long says while enforcing the alcohol laws is a top priority at CFD 2015, public health is an even bigger focus--and those who may need medical attention shouldn't hesitate to ask for help.
