Cheyenne Police Investigating Trucker Fight, Hammer Assault

Cheyenne Police say they are investigating a dispute between truck drivers which led to led to one driver getting hit in the head several times with a hammer on Monday morning.

That's according to a post on the Cheyenne Police Department Facebook page. According to the post, the incident happened around 8 a.m. today (Monday) at the Pilot Travel Center at 8020 Campstool Road. Police say two team drivers who were driving the same semi got into an argument, which led to one driving hitting the other in the head several times with a hammer.

The victim was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center for treatment, while police say the suspect has been arrested. So far the names of those involved in the incident have not been released.
