Cheyenne Mom Charged After Allegedly Exposing Kids to Meth
A 32-year-old Cheyenne mother is facing child endangerment charges after allegedly exposing her three minor children to methamphetamine.
Jackie Marie Flores was arrested on Aug. 10 after agents executing a search warrant at the home she and her children were staying at found a mirror and baggie with meth residue in their bedroom.
Agents also found five syringes, one filled with a brownish liquid, a baggie with meth residue and a spoon with residue in the bathroom vanity.
Flores reportedly told agents that she'd been using meth, but it wasn't on a regular basis. She also said that she'd smoked meth the night before in a small building on the back of the property.
Flores was charged with three counts of child endangering-enhancement with controlled substances and her children placed in protective custody. If convicted, she could face up to 15 years in prison.
Flores is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $5,000 cash bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 21 at 9 a.m.
