Ebell was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, a felony punishable by up to 20 years in prison, up to a $25,000 fine, or both; and felony possession of methamphetamine, a crime punishable by up to seven years in prison, up to a $15,000 fine, or both.

Initial Court Appearance

On Tuesday, Sept. 30, Ebell was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Antoinette Williams on the charges.

Williams appointed Ebell a public defender and his preliminary hearing was set for Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 2:15 p.m.

Williams then asked for the state's position regarding bond.

"His history ... shows interaction with law enforcement that goes all the way back to 1992," the state said, rattling off Ebell's lengthy rap sheet. "The state has no faith in this individual regarding the safety of the community."

"The state is going to ask for a $5,000 cash only bond in this matter," the state added. "He does not have an extensive drug history, but he does have a drug history nonetheless and the matter here is of concern."

Bond Set at $7.5K Cash

Williams set Ebell's bond at $7,500 cash.

Please remember that all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
