Cheyenne Meth Lab Suspect Bond Set At $10,000
A 29-year-old woman accused of child endangerment in connection with a meth lab found in her garage has been ordered held on $10,000 bond.
Investigators say they searched the home of Aubrie Pickens in the 5200 block of Liberty Drive on Friday, originally looking for evidence of check fraud. But Cheyenne police say they instead found evidence of a meth lab in the garage. Detectives also say the house was dirty, with trash and dog feces found on the floor. Pickens reportedly had two children, ages 7 and 9, living in the residence.
District Court Judge Catherine Rogers on Tuesday ordered Pickens held on $5,000 bond for each of the two counts of child endangerment, and set a preliminary hearing date of January 24th on her case. Another resident of the home, 25-year-old Donna Riley, also faces charges of Child Endangerment in the case.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Dan Long says once the meth lab was found the investigation was turned over to the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.
