A 21-year-old Cheyenne man is facing up to seven years in prison after police found methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia in his backpack.

According to court documents, police were investigating a vandalism in the 400 block of E. 8th Street on February 11, when they made contact with Vincent Morales who fit the description of one of the suspects.

When police searched Morales' backpack, they found a small, black case with 10.2 grams of meth. The case also contained approximately 100 small baggies, a digital scale, a straw and a spoon.

Morales was arrested and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for February 23 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
