Cheyenne Man Charged in Pitchfork Attack
A 58-year-old Cheyenne man has been charged with aggravated assault and battery after allegedly stabbing a man with a pitchfork.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says police were called to a "disturbance involving a pitchfork" in the 300 block of Evans Avenue around 6:30 p.m. on July 31.
Malatesta says David Moen had been in a dispute with his two roommates, and came home to find them and their friend, Johnnie "Richard" Worsham, taking his property out of the house.
"He confronted Richard about throwing his things into the yard and a fight started where Richard grabbed a pitchfork and stabbed him in the arm as well as threw a lawn chair at his head," said Malatesta.
"The officer observed a cut over his left eye where he said the chair hit him and he had a fresh wound on his left forearm," Malatesta added.
Worsham was arrested and is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $10,000 cash bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 7 at 1:30 p.m.
