Cheyenne Man Arrested on Suspicion of 4th DUI
A 37-year-old Cheyenne man has been arrested on suspicion of fourth offense DUI following a Saturday night hit-and-run in south Cheyenne.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says officers were called to the intersection of E. 5th Street and I-180 (S. Greeley Highway) around 9 p.m.
"One vehicle was struck by a Ford F-250 and that vehicle left the scene without providing any information," said Malatesta. "Officers contacted that vehicle several blocks away on 5th Street and determined that the driver was intoxicated."
"The driver of that vehicle was Andrew Sprunger," added Malatesta. "He was arrested for DUI and fleeing the scene of an accident."
Sprunger's preliminary hearing is scheduled for December 22 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
