Cheyenne Woman Accused of Drunkenly Assaulting Pregnant Woman
A 31-year-old Cheyenne woman is facing a felony charge after allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.
According to a booking sheet, police arrested Lilyanna B. Knudson at a home in the 4000 block of Carey Avenue at 8:40 p.m. on Saturday, July 19.
Police say alcohol was involved in the incident, and Knudson had a blood alcohol content between 0.15 and 0.20.

Knudson was booked into the Laramie County Detention Center and subsequently charged with aggravated assault and battery - intentionally, knowingly or recklessly causes bodily injury to a woman who she knows is pregnant, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
Initial Court Appearance
On Tuesday, July 22, Knudson was seen in Laramie County Circuit Court in front of Judge Thomas Lee on the charge.
Lee appointed Knudson a public defender and asked if the state objected to a 10% of $10,000 bond.
"That would be sufficient," the state said. "The state certainly has concerns for the safety of the victim in this matter and concerns for Ms. Knudson's willingness to comply with this court's orders considering the significant underlying penalty and believes that a $10,000 at 10% cash bond would ensure her compliance as well as the safety of the victim."
"The state would ask for no contact in this matter (and) also request alcohol testing," the state added.
Free on Bond
Knudson subsequently posted $1,000 cash and was released from jail.
Her next court appearance will be a preliminary hearing on Monday, July 28, at 9:30 a.m.
Please remember that all suspects are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
