Cheyenne Frontier Days Rides Deemed Safe After Ohio State Fair Tragedy
Cheyenne Frontier Days officials say they have no plans to shut any carnival rides down after one person was killed and seven were injured on the Fire Ball ride at the Ohio State Fair last (Wednesday) night.
"We have verified with our carnival contractor, Carnival Americana, that we do not have that type of ride," said CFD Concessions Chairman Alan Stoinski.
In addition to daily ride inspections, Stoinski says they're reviewing the safety notices from the Fire Ball ride to ensure that there are no other issues with any of the rides on the CFD midway.
"Safety is always paramount with us," said Stoinski. "We always want to provide the best, safest situation possible for the kids to enjoy themselves."
