Cheyenne Cyclist Taken to Hospital After Colliding with Pickup
A 47-year-old Cheyenne woman has been taken to the hospital with unknown injuries after her bicycle collided with a pickup at Dillon Avenue and W. 19th Street this (Thursday) afternoon.
Cheyenne Police Department spokesman Sgt. David Janes says Tina Matthis was riding southbound in the 1900 block of Dillon Avenue around 3 p.m., when she failed to stop at the stop sign on W. 19th Street and ran into the rear driver's side of a pickup pulling a flatbed trailer.
Janes says Matthis was not wearing a helmet, but he didn't know the full extent of her injuries. The driver of the pickup, 29-year-old Cory Morgan of Carpenter, was not injured.
The crash is still under investigation and no charges have been filed at this time.
