UPDATE:

A Cheyenne man is behind bars after police say he robbed a bank in downtown Cheyenne.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says police were called to a robbery at Bank of the West around 9:30 a.m. this (Monday) morning.

Malatesta says the robber indicated he had a gun, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The robber, later identified as Terry Jervah, was arrested at his house a few hours later.

The case remains under investigation by Cheyenne Police.

Police are asking for the public's help to find a man who robbed Bank of the West in downtown Cheyenne this (Monday) morning.

"At 9:30 this morning, the suspect came into (the bank), demanded money and indicated he had a weapon," said Officer Kevin Malatesta. "He was able to obtain cash and left the bank on foot."

Malatesta says the man was wearing a brown jacket and a blue hat at the time of the burglary.

Anyone who recognizes the man or knows his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Cheyenne Police at (307) 637-6525.

"This person did indicate he had a weapon, so don't approach him, don't try to detain him or anything like that," said Malatesta.
