Wyoming Men Accused Of Stealing Over 50K Worth of Property
According to the release, the Wamsutter burglaries happened in mid- to late- February and targeted industrial and transportation equipment and fuel. Two Sweetwater County Sheriff's deputies independently found both physical and digital evidence that identified the suspects and linked the three crimes together.
A sheriff's department detective took over the investigation earlier this month, confirming the identities of the suspects. With the help of Carbon County law enforcement, the detective was able to track the suspects to a home on the northeast side of Rawlins. A search warrant was served at the home on Thursday, March 21.
Sweetwater County Sheriff's detectives, working with Rawlins Police, say they found several stolen items, including a flatbed trailer, tool boxes, tools, and other items which have been returned to their rightful owners. Two suspicious big game carcasses were turned over to Wyoming Game and Fish Department officials for further investigation.
As a result of the search warrant, Rawlins Police arrested 26-year-old Antonio Pacheco and 27-year-old Nathan Gallant. At last report, both men remained in the Carbon County Detention Center awaiting court appearances.
