The Cheyenne office of the National Weather Service is predicting several communities in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska panhandle will reach or exceed 100-degree temperatures on Tuesday, July 10.

Douglas and Torrington in Wyoming, as well as Chadron and Banner County, Nebraska are expected to reach triple-digit highs. Casper could well break into triple figures as well, with a forecast high of 98 degrees.

The weather service has issued the following weather statement:

"High temperatures will be in the 90's to 100's across much of the area! If you are working outside remember to drink plenty of water and look for shade when available. Heat related illness is one of the leading causes of weather-related deaths! for more info on safety check out Weather.gov/safety.''
