
National Weather Service: Dry Lightening Could Pose SE Wyoming Fire Hazard
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says dry lightening could increase an already high fire danger in southeast Wyoming on Monday.
The agency included the following in a special weather message it issued early Monday morning:
"Key Messages ➔ A Red Flag Warning remains in effect through 9 PM Monday for gusty westerly winds and very low humidity. ➔ A more widespread round of precipitation is expected this afternoon. Isolated dry lightning is possible. ➔ A cold front Monday evening will bring an abrupt wind shift to the north. March 30, 2026 3:45 AM Red Flag Warning Details Until 9PM Monday Don’t be the spark! Fires that start may spread rapidly."
