Winds Of Up To 85 MPH Possible In SE Wyoming, Heavy Mountain Snow
High wind warnings remain in effect today for areas of southeast Wyoming, with gusts of 85 miles per hour possible.
Winter storm warnings are also in effect for the Snowy Range and Sierra Madre mountain ranges, where an additional foot of snow is possible today.
That's according to the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service. The agency posted the following on its website:
Seems like a bad dream that won't go away! High Wind Warnings and Winter Storm Warnings continue today. Look for winds to really ramp up after sunrise with some locations possibly seeing wind gusts to 80 mph or higher. Additionally, Winter Storm Warnings continue for the Snowy and Sierra Madre Ranges, where another foot of snow could fall through the day today. There is good news! Snow expected to end late this afternoon in the mountains and winds will slowly subside overnight tonight. Hang in there!
