The Laramie County Sheriff's Department announced Monday night that the search for 13-month-old Silas Ojeda's body in a landfill west of Ault, Colorado was suspended Thursday.

Captain Linda Gesell says 408 people spent over 100 hours searching through 3,322,500 pounds of garbage, but never found the Cheyenne boy's body.

Gesell says portions of car seats similar to Silas' as well as blankets that appeared to have some sort of biological stains on them will be sent to the Wyoming State Crime Lab.

Silas' mother, 26-year-old Rhiannon Ojeda, was arrested late Thursday afternoon. Ojeda, who refused to speak to detectives and requested an attorney, was released by the Laramie County District Attorney's Office over the weekend.

Twenty-three-year-old Logan Rogers has been charged with involuntary manslaughter and child endangering with methamphetamine in the boy's death. He faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.

The investigation into the case remains open.
