UPDATE: Cheyenne Man Arrested After Hitting Pedestrian With SUV

Koby Rodriguez made his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court Friday afternoon.
His bond was set at $5,000 cash, which he posted, and his preliminary hearing was scheduled for next Friday, Sept. 1, at 9 a.m.

A 25-year-old Cheyenne man is behind bars after police say he hit a pedestrian with his SUV, seriously injuring him.
Public Information Officer Alex Farkas says it happened around 5:40 p.m. yesterday, Aug. 24, near the Sinclair gas station located at 115 N. Greeley Hwy.
According to statements, Koby Bryon Rodriguez was stopped at the traffic light on the Interstate 80 exit ramp waiting to turn south onto North Greeley Highway when a man reportedly approached his black Ford Edge, pulled on a door handle multiple times, and walked away.
Rodriguez then reportedly maneuvered his SUV around other traffic in the area and struck the man.
Farkas says the man was on the hood of Rodriguez’s SUV while he proceeded to drive recklessly to the intersection of Greeley Highway and Fox Farm Road, and eventually fell off and landed on the roadway.
She says Rodriguez continued to drive west on West Fox Farm Road, leaving the man on the road, and later returned to the scene.
Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the Laramie County Detention Center for aggravated assault with injury.
He's scheduled to make his initial appearance in Laramie County Circuit Court this afternoon at 1:30 p.m.
Farkas says the pedestrian was taken to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center, and was still hospitalized as of noon Friday.
