Two Grand County residents are being charged for animal cruelty after a video of a horse being dragged by a pickup truck surfaced over the weekend. The video of the horse resisting was shared and viewed thousands of times, which led to calls to the Grand County Sheriff's Office and District Attorney's Office.

John Saladate and Amber Saladate have both been charged with one count of animal cruelty, which is a class one misdemeanor in the state of Colorado. Animal Control officers went to check on the horse, who showed no signs of trauma. The horse did appear to be tender and was given pain medications. The horse since has been seized and taken to safety at the humane society.
