Today is the day we officially start the Laramie County Fair. This is the day that many youngsters have waited for, because this week they will have the opportunity to show off all the hard work they have done over the past 8 months as well as participate in some great family fun of their own.

After World War II moved in circa 1918 to Pine Bluffs where the fairgrounds played a vital role in the Pine Bluffs community. The fair held residency here until the 1940's when the Government took over the grounds to use as a German prisoners of war camp.

Now, because of the popularity of the 4-H group in the 1940's, the fair has moved to Cheyenne. It currently resides in Frontier Park and hopes to move to the Archer grounds outside the city limits in the future.
