Cheyenne Police Asking For Public’s Help In Vandalism Case
The Cheyenne Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a group of suspects in a Frontier Park vandalism case.
That's according to a post on the Cheyenne Police Department Facebook page.
According to the post, the vandalism was reported at 10:30 on Wednesday morning, November 13. According to a time stamp on the security video, it actually happened around 10:30 p.m. on Monday night, November 11.
The video, which you can see below, shows five unidentified people walking through Frontier Park, spray painting buildings, grandstands, fence lines and sidewalks with profane language. Police say this latest incident was similar to another that happened on Oct. 31.
CFD officials this week announced that they are closing Frontier Park to the public, citing vandalism (along with liability issues) as the reasons for the decision. The Frontier Days news release specifically mentioned two significant acts of vandalism in the past couple of weeks as being one factor in the decision to close the park.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact detectives at (307) 637-6513. Additionally, information can be provided anonymously at (307) 638-8477 or at www.silentwitnesslaramiecounty.com.
The video below was posted on the Cheyenne Police Department Facebook page.
