It seems that now days, more and more people are trying to figure out how to power a vehicle besides fossil fuels. We've heard of corn ethanol, but now methane power?  In a great attempt to promote public transportation and methane gas, a bus has now set a new record in Reading, England.

At a local track called Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire, England, the bus hit a high speed of 76.785 miles per hour. The name of the bus is Bus Hound and manufactured by Reading Buses in Southern England.

The front of the bus was black and white and painted like the pattern seen on a cow. The companies buses normally don't break 56 miles per hour. However, this was an exception.

Companies are taking a serious look at methane fueled vehicles as an alternative to fossil fuels. Even though we may think this, liquid methane doesn't have to come from bovines, and can be used in most combustible engines, with a few alterations. There are some vehicles running bio methane, which come from food and human waste.

Congratulations to the Bus Hound for breaking a record, however I personally would not want to be around this vehicles exhaust. I think you know why.
