
120 MPH Chase In Albany, Laramie Counties Ends In Crash
A high speed chase involving a stolen car and a motorist wanted on felony warrants came to an end in Laramie County on May 23.
That's according to a post on the Albany County Sheriff's Office Facebook page.
According to the post. the chase started when an Albany County Sheriff's Sergeant spotted a stolen vehicle eastbound on I-80 at 6:25 p.m. near Milepost Marker 323 in Albany County.
The driver, identified as Sarah Grazin, was wanted for felony warrants out of Sublette County. According to the post, "she also had cautions for fleeing law enforcement, violent behavior, and narcotics use. Grazin was also a suspect in a recent vehicle burglary and larceny investigation in Laramie."
Deputies followed the vehicle waiting for help to arrive. A high speed chase soon developed, with the motorist speeding off at up to 120 miles per hour.
Chase Continues At 100 MPH Despite Disabled Tires
An Albany County Sheriff's deputy and a Laramie Police officer were able to deploy stop sticks. But even though the sticks disabled two tires, the chase continued, with the suspect vehicle reach speeds of 100 miles per hour despite the defective tires.
The chase ended around Milepost Marker 348 on I-80 in Laramie County when the vehicle crashed. Grazin tried to run away and was hit by her own still moving vehicle, resulting in minor injuries. She was quickly taken into custody by law enforcement.
Grazin was arrested on multiple charges including felony warrants from Sublette County, possession of stolen property, eluding, aggravated assault, reckless driving, speeding, controlled substance violations, larceny, vehicle burglary, and numerous additional traffic and criminal offenses.

The post says Agencies assisting in the incident included the Albany County Sheriff’s Office, Laramie Police Department, Wyoming Highway Patrol, Laramie County Sheriff’s Office and the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office.
