"Operation Jessica is a coordinated, nationwide initiative focused on verifying that registered sex offenders are complying with their legal registration requirements. Named in memory of Jessica Lunsford, the operation brings together local, state, and federal partners to conduct in-person checks, confirm addresses, and ensure offenders are following the conditions placed on them.
The goal is simple: increase accountability and enhance community safety through proactive enforcement."
The article says several sex offenders were found to be non-compliant "and appropriate enforcement action has been taken. Those cases will continue to be addressed."
Registered sex offenders in Wyoming are required to follow several rules. Those include registering with the sheriff in the county where they live, or attend school.
