Albany County Sheriff's Deputies were called out at 1:47 P.M. Monday, June 22 on a report of a pair of hikers who had gotten lost in the Reservoir Lake area of the Snowy Range Mountains, according to a post on the agency's Facebook page.

The sheriff's office Search and Rescue division was activated to help with the rescue.

Rescuers Soon Learned About Two More Lost Hikers

Laramie Area Records and Communications (LARC) team made contact with the missing hikers and kept in touch with them as the rescue operation continued. They learned that two other hikers had also gotten lost in the same area.

By about 5:30 p.m. rescuers had found all four missing hikers and taken them back to the trailhead. By  8:30 p.m. everyone was off the mountain. No injuries were reported.
