Stay Informed: Potential Impact Of Winter Storm In Southeast Wyoming
The Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service says a strong winter storm could hit southeast Wyoming this week, although how strong it might be and where it will hit remains in question.
What We Don't Know
The agency posted the following on its website:
We are continuing to monitor the potential for a winter storm to impact portions of our area on Wednesday and Thursday this week, but considerable uncertainty remains regarding the track, strength, and organization of this system. What we know: Confidence is slowly growing in a potent weather system moving across the Rockies and into the Plains Wednesday into Thursday. Depending on the strength, organization, and track of the system, an impactful winter weather event is possible in the highlighted areas. What we don't know: Exactly where the low pressure system will develop and how strong / organized it will be. This could result in significantly different outcomes for total snowfall across southeast Wyoming and western Nebraska. Continue to monitor forecasts over the next few days and be prepared to adjust plans if necessary!
