A spokesman for the Laramie County Sheriff's Department says that agency is investigating a series of incidents of vandalism at Gilchrist Elementary School in Laramie County School District 1.

Gerry Luce  says the first of the seven incidents was reported in February, with the most recent reported on June June 24th. Luce says the damage includes defacing of the school with spray paint and magic markers as well as damage to some of the exterior school equipment.

Luce says that while there are some similarities to other reported  incidents of vandalism in LCSD1, investigators aren't sure at this point whether the incidents at Gilchrist are related to other vandalism cases in the district. He also says it's not clear at this point whether all of the incidents at Gilchrist were committed by the same person or group of people.

Luce is asking anyone who may have information on the vandalism to to call the Silent Witness Hotline at 638-tips, adding people calling the hotline may remain anonymous.
