Hundreds of bikers are expected to be in Cheyenne over the 4th of July weekend.

The Laramie County Sheriff's Department says the Sons of Silence Motorcycle Club is planning a gathering of up to 700 bikers. Captain Linda Gesell says they are doubling their forces to help make sure there are no "fireworks" between biker gangs.

"We are preparing for the worst and hoping for the best," said Gesell.  "But anytime that you get the massive holiday and the additional traffic and many more motorcycles on the road, that's just kind of a recipe for disaster."

American Medical Response (AMR) will also have extra EMTs and paramedics working over the holiday weekend.
