Red-Clad Robber Hits Two Cheyenne Convenience Stores, Still at Large

The Cheyenne Police Department is seeking the public's help in its investigation into two armed robberies that took place this week.

Officer Kevin Malatesta says the Loaf 'N Jug at 1922 E. Lincolnway was robbed around 3 a.m. this (Friday) morning and the Loaf 'N Jug at 5539 Yellowstone Road was robbed around 1 a.m. Monday.

"It looks like they're both related," said Malatesta. "In both of these cases a person wearing red clothing and a red bandanna came into these Loaf 'N Jugs, displayed a gun and was successful in obtaining money."

"During the first incident this person appears to have been accompanied by two other people dressed in similar fashion," Malatesta added. "One is wearing a black leather jacket with a black shirt and blue jeans and then the other person doesn't enter the store."
