Police Saddle Up for Cheyenne Frontier Days
The Cheyenne Police Department will be out in full force for the 121st Daddy of 'em All.
Officer Kevin Malatesta says the ten-day celebration is typically the busiest time of the year for local law enforcement.
"We have every officer working during Frontier Days," said Malatesta. "Nobody is allowed vacations or anything like that."
Malatesta says extra officers will be patrolling Frontier Park as well as off-the-park events.
"We'll have a group of officers up at the park throughout the day and the evening," said Malatesta. "We'll also do traffic control for the rodeos and night shows."
Police will also be cracking down on underage drinking, including the use of plainclothes officers to catch violators.
