Thursday is July 4th, which means it's fireworks season.

Inside the city limits of Cheyenne, fireworks are illegal, with the exception of sparklers, smoke devices, and novelty items. But as many Cheyenne residents will tell you, just because fireworks are illegal in the city doesn't mean they aren't being used by many city residents.

You can legally use fireworks in unincorporated parts of Laramie county on private property, as long as you won the property or have the landowners permission. There is a city fireworks show on July 4 at Frontier Park.

So...do you agree with the city's ban on fireworks? Or do you think people should be free to make their own decision about whether to use fireworks?

We'll publish the results of our survey on Monday, July 8th.
