Work on the Logan Avenue Reconstruction Project is slated to resume this week according to City of Cheyenne spokesman Scott Smith.

The work was originally planned to begin on Monday, February 23, but winter weather in the Cheyenne area could delay the resumption of work for a day or two.

The reconstruction project includes new sanitary sewer, water lines, sidewalks, curb and gutter and a new road surface on Logan between Nationway and East Pershing. The first phase of reconstruction work will be between East 12th Street and Nationway.

Smith says detours will be posted and businesses in the area will remain open. Work on Logan between East 10 and Nationway is complete. The section between East 10th and East 12th has temporary paving which will be replaced with a permanent surface this spring.

The total cost of the Logan Avenue reconstruction project is $7.7 million.
