Two Laramie County Sheriff's Office K9s have received donations of body armor.

That's according to a post on the Sheriff's Office Facebook page. According to the post, the charity Vested Interest in K9s donated the vests.

The post says K9s Yap and Blair received vests to protect them from being stabbed or shot. According to the post. "The vests were sponsored by Denise Nading of Anchorage, AK and embroidered with the sentiment “In memory of Mel Nading - Pilot of Helo1”.

Vested in K9s accepts donations for their programs of any amount of money. For a donation of $1,050 people can sponsor a vest. The vests cost $1,800 and weigh about 4-5 lbs. They  come with a five-year warranty.
