Laramie Area Could Face Stream Flooding This Week
The Cheyenne Office of the the National Weather Service says parts of south east and south central Wyoming could face some minor stream flooding this week.
That includes the Laramie area and parts of Albany County.
The agency posted this statement and graphic on its website:
With the warming temperatures expected through Wednesday, rapid melting and runoff of recent snowfall is possible. Frozen ground in the highlighted areas will likely increase the runoff from snowmelt. While river flooding is not expected at this time, high flows and minor flooding on small streams in lower elevations is possible. Flat and low-lying areas may see ponding and standing water as well. Use caution near flowing streams and in low-lying areas!
