You are right if you think it's been windy in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle the last couple of days.

Below is a listing of some of the top wind gusts recorded by the Cheyenne Office of the National Weather Service in the 24 hours before 8:30 p.m. on Monday:

The windy weather is not over, either. The agency says wind speeds of 65-70 miles per hour are possible into Wednesday.

On April 6 and 7, 2024, wild winds exceeding 90 mph blew through SE Wyoming, causing havoc in Cheyenne and on the interstate. Everything from fences to semis were upturned in the wind storm. Check out the damage shared by residents below.
